This Friday, December 19th, sees the start of the always greatly anticipated Winter Sale at Blarney Woollen Mills in the Killarney Outlet Centre. This sale is usually a hot spot for shoppers after Christmas, as it has traditionally begun on December 27th; however this year will be different, as Blarney Woollen Mills are responding to current economic conditions, and extending an extra helping hand to their customers shopping for Christmas gifts in the run up to Christmas.

A major part of the Christmas in Killarney festivities this year will be an Irish & International Food & Craft Market, with over 30 stalls displaying a wonderful selection of craft products and all types of savoury delights. Located on Main Street in Killarney on 6th- 7th & 13th- 14th December under the soft glow of Christmas Street lights and the sound of Christmas songs it is a must for all Christmas Shoppers providing visitors and locals alike the opportunity to purchase food and craft products in a festive and friendly environment that is all part of the successful festival. The Markets on Saturday 6th & Sunday 7th December coincide with the annual Monster Sale which sees numerous local shops offering up to 10% off their goods. Watch out for Monster Sale Posters in participating store windows!

Christmas is a time for giving and all children should get to enjoy it. Helping make this happen, the annual Children's Lodge Charity Motor Bike Run, in association with the Kingdom, will take place on Sunday 14th December as part of Christmas in Killarney festivities.
A dedicated group of Kerry Motor Cyclists will hop on their motor cycles and take a mystery tour collecting toys for The Tree of Giving located at Santa's Lodge in the Deenagh in the National Park.

The final of this years search for Miss Christmas in Killarney took place on Friday 28th November at The Killarney Avenue Hotel.
The popular event, formerly Miss Café Du Parc, was organised to raise vital funds for Build4Life, a Kerry based Charity which is fundraising to build Ireland's first Cystic Fibrosis Unit at Cork University Hospital. In total around 5,000 was raised on the night.

Santa is back at the Killarney Outlet Centre this Christmas and for the next two weekends, the 6th and 7th, and 13th and 14th of December, families can visit Santa in his Winter Log Cabin from 1pm to 6pm.
