More businesses moving towards intelligent software solutions as Heavey RF sees significant growth across advanced technologies

05 January 2016

Heavey RF, an Irish owned technology provider to the warehouse and logistics sector has announced a record breaking year and a “very healthy” order book already for 2016.

Heavey RF, which employs over 30 people in Ireland between its HQ in Dublin and office in Cork, increased its revenue by 30% in 2015 to €11 million and is expecting to continue this level of growth this year.

In 2015, Heavey RF, which also has offices in the UK and Poland, expanded its Irish workforce in both Dublin and Cork with a number of vacancies yet to be filled.

According to Ronan Clinton, CEO of the Heavey RF Group, their company’s success is reflective of the significant shift towards proven systems and the buoyant economy.

“During the recession a lot of companies were cautious to invest, however, in the last 12-18 months, we saw a sizeable shift by companies investing in advanced technology to solve and improve real business problems.

“Many of our warehouse technology solutions require an investment of time for detailed process analysis, business case modelling and predictive profiling which in the past has been seen as an inconvenience and unnecessary cost by a lot of companies. However, in recent times an increasing number of companies are investing this time to look at the longer term value and benefits of efficiency and cost effectiveness rather than choosing cheaper, shorter-term solutions.”

According to Ronan Clinton, the work that his team focused on over the last 12 to 18 months has come to fruition as reflected in Heavey RF’s business growth in 2015 and the significant projects and clients it already has on board for this year.

“We’ve celebrated some significant success this year by growing our client base with high profile companies such as United Drug, Primark and Primeline Logistics with many more significant wins about to be announced,” he said.

“In 2016 and beyond, we predict significant growth in the ‘hands free, eyes-free’ technology arena with interaction with computers increasingly moving towards a more human level. Advances in software has completely revolutionised how we work and manage our business systems with voice and vision technology proving to come out on top in the warehouse.”
