Two of Ireland’s top salons, Sean Taaffe Hair & Beauty and Wayne Lloyd Hair, have joined forces with Global Hairdressers of the Year, Saco of London, in an exciting venture that has seen them re-develop and improve the training systems for luxury brand ALFAPARF Milano, Ireland’s largest professional hair care product line.

The internationally recognised course is the final part of the ‘Nexxt Generation Stylist’ cutting course - levels 7, 8 and 9, which will be available from March through ALFAPARF Academies across Ireland including Sean Taaffe’ and Wayne Lloyd’ hairdressing academies.

Sean and Wayne, friends and competitors in the industry, have a healthy outlook on working together and provide balance to each other’s over critical and perfectionist personalities. Distinguished in their industry, Sean and Wayne were approached by ALFAPARF Milano for their expertise in precision hair cutting, to add an easy to understand approach to the learnings of the course and they will also help to roll out levels 7, 8 and 9 of the ‘Nexxt Generation Stylist’ cutting course.

Speaking about the course Sean Taaffe said,” We are so delighted to be working with such an accomplished global hairdressing and education brand like Saco of London. Hairdressing is a constantly evolving trade and this course will give hairdressers the opportunity to learn new skills through a tailor made programme created by some of the most respected hairdressing professionals in the world. It is a really exciting time for hairdressing and I look forward to working with Wayne.”

A leading stylist, Sean Taaffe has over 25 years’ hairdressing experience, and is the owner of six salons in Tralee, Killarney and Killorglin, with a team of 50 talented hairdressing professionals. Sean also heads up his own hairdressing academy, and he believes that education is the key to success and this ethos can been seen in all his salons. This type of constant learning is a common ground he shares with fellow stylist, Wayne Lloyd. Wayne has over 30 years’ hairdressing experience, owns three salons in Cork City and county, and is a proud member of Team Ireland and the Intercoiffure Fashion Team. He has also represented his craft both nationally and internationally, as well as regularly teaching throughout Ireland and overseas.

Wayne Lloyd added to Sean’s enthusiasm saying “This type of opportunity shows just how easy and beneficial it is to work together in the industry, and I really look forward to working alongside Sean and Saco. Knowing people will be learning from a course we helped create is really special”.

The new course will be available from March and in advance applicants are required to have completed levels 1-6 in the ‘Nexxt Generation Stylist’ cutting course, which is currently offered by Sean Taaffe Hair & Beauty, and in a number of other training salons nationwide.

The courses are taught through theory and practical workshops and a certificate is awarded on completion of each course level 7, 8 and 9, meaning those who complete the course are educated to the highest cutting standards and trends in the hairdressing industry.
