Some 50 models from across Ireland with Down syndrome will take to the catwalk at the Down Syndrome Ireland ‘Fashion 4 DSI’ event next month to help fundraise for the charity. The red carpet will be rolled out from 2pm - 5pm at the majestic surroundings of Clontarf Castle, Dublin on August 21st.

Former RTE Off-the-Rails star Pamela Flood will take to the mic as the event MC and speaking about the unique fashion fundraiser she said, “This fantastic event not only gives you the opportunity to spot the latest fashion trends - it is a chance to give back and support people with Down syndrome and their loved ones”

The show will feature models as young as 2-year-old Max Leech from Raheny, Dublin up to 40-year-old Carmel Roche from Tralee, Co. Kerry. Tickets cost €20 each or €50 for family of four (2 adults and two children under 10).

Speaking about the event, Down Syndrome Ireland’s Corporate Fundraising Manager Kathleen Fitzsimons said, “This is the second year of Fashion 4 DSI. This wonderful event is not only a fundraiser but a celebration of our members, which promises to be fun for all the family. All our models, our DJ Andrew Walker and Entertainer Aimee Richardson are people with Down syndrome, we are very proud to have such talented individuals as members of DSI.”

The event kicks off at 2pm with a Prosecco Reception, followed by the Fashion Show, Entertainment and a raffle with lots of exciting prizes. All the clothes featured at the event will have been donated to Down Syndrome Ireland by extremely generous donors.
