The expansion of a leading vehicle finance company Traction Finance, from their Belfast base to County Kildare has marked a first for Ireland - a chance for businesses across the whole Island to have their cars or vans registered, funded and managed exactly how and where they need, by one single all-Ireland company.

Responding to demand from customers, including a 700% increase in turnover from the Republic of Ireland during the last 18 months, Traction Finance now offer bespoke funding solutions from their new Celbridge  office. This means Irish companies can respond to a changing age of Brexit and new technologies, such as electric vehicles, by finding innovative advice and an approach all-Ireland vehicle funding with all-Ireland expertise.

Robert Noone, the newly appointed Sales Manager leading the team in Kildare explained, “We’ve created something very new for Irish businesses as, to give one example, a company who need to register a vehicle in a different jurisdiction from their office but fund through their HQ can use our experience and all-Ireland service to find a way with ease.”

Robert continued, “Traction is growing and I am thrilled to be part of its movement into the Republic. The business is already doing very well in Kildare and we are determined to continue this expansion and adding to the team here as the business grows.”

Traction, who also offer vehicle finance options for personal customers, have recognised the necessity for different options for its customer base across the 32 counties. One of these being All-Ireland Funding, the ability to offer innovative and flexible solutions for funding in each jurisdiction, allowing clients to do business smoothly, keeping them mobile across the island of Ireland. This innovative solution came after specific, bespoke requirements from their largest customer Coca Cola. This adaptation is a reflection on the 200% increase on Traction’s available funding channels.

Boojum, an award winning Mexican Burrito bar chain with locations across the 32 counties of Ireland, is one client that avails of Tractions All-Ireland funding options.

David Maxwell, Managing Director of Boojum, said, “We had requirements for three vehicles in ROI and also for future vehicles in NI for our growing management team. Our ambition was to do this without using multiple leasing companies. Traction have a unique position given their presence in NI and ROI and were able to meet all of our requirements”.

Traction Finance opened in Belfast in 2003 and continued its growth following a complete rebrand in 2015. The company, headquartered in Belfast with 18 employees, will initially employ three people in Celbridge but aims to expand even more.
