Rewards for Shopping Locally

Established in 1916 Tim Sheahan Butchers are Master Butchers who recently took four gold medals and two silver medals at the National Craftbutchers Barbeque Awards. They also understand the importance of being a local Kerry company, providing 35 jobs at their retail outlets in Glenbeigh and Killarney. Indeed Tim himself personally selects cattle bred on the finest local farms around the Ring of Kerry. He has garnered a reputation for excellent quality meats, all fully traceable back to his own abattoir in Glenbeigh. Taking this local ethos a step further, Tim Sheahan's have just launched a new loyalty scheme entitling customers who collect 15 stamps to receive a complimentary Sunday Roast.

There is excellent value, choice, service and quality at both outlets run by Tim and his wife Rachel. Tim is determined that this new scheme will add extra value to customer's doing their weekly meat shopping at the outlets. The staff are trained personally by Tim so that they understand exactly what the customer wants and how to get the best from the extensive range of products within each shop.

In terms of the Loyalty Card Tim says; "As times get increasingly tougher, people are looking for extra value which is why we introduced this new scheme. This business is a circle. I buy from local farmers who get a good and fair price for the meat, killed at my abattoir and sold at our two outlets. Customers who buy from us are supporting the local economy and are keeping people working. Now we're giving something back to these customers to keep the circle going."

Customers need only to pick up an application form for the Loyalty Club in store. Each time the customer visits either the store in Killarney or Glenbeigh and spends 15 or over they will receive one stamp and once they have fifteen stamps they will receive a Sunday Roast of their choice.

It is a common sense approach to offer good value to loyal customers and perhaps gain a few new ones in the process. This third generation butcher is certainly making plans to ensure his business is solid for the future and the customers are reaping the rewards.
