Champagne, Girls & Pearls

02 July 2007

Sunday 1st July was a red letter day in the diary of an exclusive group of Cork Ladies who have received their hand delivered personalised invitation to the ultimate VIP Garden Party held at Cork's Haven for luxury in the City - Hayfield Manor.

"Girls in the know" already know that Hayfield Manor is THE place to enjoy a lazy lunch or a quick after work treat in Perrotts Mediterranean/New York Style Bistro.  They also know the newly re-designed Orchids Restaurant, for more formal dining with a menu influenced by the best of contemporary Irish cuisine.  To see more of what Hayfield Manor has to offer a VIP group of over 150 girls got the chance to enjoy all the facilities of the hotel, sipping champagne, enjoying afternoon tea while being entertained by resident pianist Siobhain Forde, providing her unique style of easy listening music.

A summer party would not be the same without a mix of beauty and fashion, and the team at Hayfield Manor have ticked the box on this also.  L'Occitane showcasing their world renowned skin and hair care products and fragrances for the home and body.  Also on hand on this special day was Pamela Morrissey, who has just returned from years working at top Manhattan Salon - Bumble & Bumble, to open her dream salon Sobe Brown in Cork, pursuing  her own ideas on hairstyling & luxury salon experiences.  There was a queue of girls all day for  Pamela and her team of stylists and makeup artists who gave guests Mini-Makeovers and Consultations.

As the perfect complement to this relaxing day, the professionally trained therapists from the hotels exclusive Beautique provided guests tips on the perfect manicure in the surroundings of the elegant  spa with individually designed treatment and beauty rooms,  each featuring a chandelier and stand alone antique style furnishings.

Hayfield Manor is well known to residential guests and Corkonians alike for the wide variety of culinary delights on offer with award winning Head Chef Graeme Campbell who joined the team at Hayfield last year from Lyrath Estate Hotel, provided all guests with a sumptuous afternoon tea with savory and sweet delights, served in Orchids Restaurant and in the Garden.  After afternoon tea was served, Pierre Toussant, Hayfield Manor's in house Sommelier gave a Wine Tasting Demonstration in the hotel's spacious underground cellar, The Vine, which was set up with a Christmas Theme.  The Vine is often used for small private parties and dinners and is ideal for themed Wine Tasting Events in full view of Hayfield Manor's unique Wine Cellar.

Another member of the Hayfield Manor Team, Rita Moore, who has been providing floral displays at the hotel since the doors first opened 10 years ago, provided guests with hints and tips on flower arrangements for the home.

Cutting Edge Designer Evening Wear,  with a sneak preview of the Autumn Collection from Rich & Ritzy, whose models mingled  with guests, showcasing fashions straight off the runways of Paris and Milan.  Exclusive shoes and accessories were displayed by the unique boutique, Luca.  Special Collections of Diamonds from Keanes Jewelers as well  as Crystals from Fellini were showcased with jewellery for the office and evening wear.

Lisa Leahy, newly appointed Sales and Marketing Director to Hayfield Manor, along with her colleague Christopher O'Sullivan, Sales Manager are the driving forces behind this exclusive day for VIP customers and friends of Hayfield Manor.  Lisa stated   "Everyone is aware of the quality meeting and events facilities we have at Hayfield Manor, located so conveniently close to the University, various Industrial Parks and of course the city centre.  Today we offered our guests  something a little different, a relaxing day that encompassed everything that Hayfield Manor has to offer Girls of the City, not just the corporate side of things - a stylish haven away from the everyday stresses of life."

As a conclusion to this VIP Day at Hayfield Manor, there was a draw for all guests, with prizes and gifts worth over €7,000.  There was also an opportunity for guests to contribute to Mary Mount Hospice and a representative from this local Charity Regina Donnelly,  made a presentation on the work that is carried out at the Hospice.  And for the perfect end to the VIP Summer Party, each guest will receive a Hayfield Manor Goodie Bag worth €100 before stepping into a Chauffeur Driven Limousine for the drive home.
