ATTENTION G.I. JOES & G.I. JANES! ARMY SURPLUS WAREHOUSE OPENING AT THE KILLARNEY OUTLET CENTRE

25 March 2010

Attention all G.I. Joes and G.I. Janes, the Army Surplus Warehouse will open its doors upstairs in the Killarney Outlet Centre over the Easter Bank Holiday Weekend.

With over 5,000 square feet of space, the Army Surplus Warehouse will specialise in stock clearance and discontinued lines, so there are lots of bargains to be had. The stock will change on a continual basis, depending on availability, but at any one time, there will up to 5,000 lines to choose from.

All of the products retailing in the store are of extremely high standard and most are genuine military issued products, sourced from all over the world - and built to last!   And it's not just the regular surplus acquired from the army, but also from many other government departments, e.g. fire service, postal, naval and many more.

Outdoor pursuits enthusiasts will also be catered for, with lots of accessories for paintball, fishing, hunting, trekking, camping and water sports.

The store will also carry a huge range of hand tools for professional tradesmen, as well as for gardening and DIY enthusiasts.

The Army Surplus Warehouse has been trading in Midleton, Co. Cork for 15 years, and speaking about the opening of the new Killarney Outlet Centre store, owner, Noel Curtin said "We decided to locate in Killarney chiefly because of the strong domestic tourist trade in the area and the close proximity of the National Park and many other natural attractions. Our Midleton store is extremely popular with tourists who visit the store while holidaying nearby as well as people who travel from all over Cork for our products.  Many visitors to Cork make a visit to our store in Midleton, which is the biggest of its kind in Ireland, a part of their holiday itinerary every year and some have even become friends of the staff."

Noel added "We feel that Killarney has a similar type of tourist market and we are optimistic that our new unit upstairs in the Killarney Outlet Centre will be equally popular with the tourists and local people alike."

Speaking about the new store, Paul Sherry, Killarney Outlet Centre Manager said "This is an exciting addition to the Killarney Outlet Centre and it is really positive to see a new store opening, when so many all over Ireland are shutting their doors. The floor area is a generous 5,325 square feet and has ample room to display the full range, with something for all the family."

Shopping in the Army Surplus Warehouse will be quite different from the norm at the Killarney Outlet Centre, so why not drop in for a different shopping experience this Easter Bank Holiday Weekend!
