Cork Ideal Home Show "Don’t Move – Improve"

Ireland's biggest, best known and best attended exhibition for home owners is coming to Cork's spectacular new venue, the ARC Event Centre , and to celebrate, a Press Launch was held today at the Boardwalk Bar and Grill, hosted by Ireland:AM's Anna Daly.  The Cork Ideal Home Show takes place from Friday 1st to Sunday 3rd October 2010 as Munster's biggest event of its kind with 100 Exhibitors, all under one roof and over 40,000 sqft of Exhibition space, it's going to be a "must see event" for anyone who wants to give their home a lot or a little TLC!

Sean Lemass, MD of SDL Exhibitions who are organising this major Cork event is also the person responsible for bringing the ARC Event Centre to Cork.  At the launch Sean stated "With more and more people deciding, for whatever reason, to remain in their current homes, we are finding that there is much more demand for the Ideal Home Show, which is why we are coming to Cork.  We now have a fantastic new venue to offer Munster.  Visitors can get great choice, real value and quality - all under one roof and right in the hub of Cork city."

Visitors to the exhibition can avail of free professional advice on extensions and renovations, décor and interior design and home energy all designed to assist home owners make the correct decision and save on both professional fees and costs.

For example, a team of professionals from the Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland are offering visitors FREE one on one advice for anyone planning to extend their home or make renovations.

At the Dulux Interior Design Advice Centre, top interior designers from the Institute of Designers in Ireland will be offering FREE advice on how to improve and transform home interiors. Dulux who are sponsoring this activity are also introducing a new colour mixing system on their stand called "Tailor Made Colour".  The new technology coupled with the one to one advice from the design experts, will give visitors the opportunity to achieve the exact look and colour they are seeking, for any room of their home.DIY expert Barry Reamonn will host a series of useful demonstrations at the B&Q DIY Demo Stage to help people complete those "niggly" DIY jobs around the house that just never seem to get done. Barry will be offering advice on choosing the right tools and products for the job, how best to prepare, practical tips as well as showing you how to actually do the job in hand. The Cork Ideal Home Show will be divided into different zones where visitors can wander through the various sections, packed full of  inspiring ideas, new products and technologies, gadgets, soft and hard furnishings that will turn any home into a haven, regardless of budget, style or size,  including:-

The Cork Ideal Home Show will run from Friday 1st October from 2pm to 9.30pm; Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd October from 10.30am to 6pm.
