SPRING INTO SHAPE FOR SUMMER With "Nutri-FITz"

04 April 2008

The temperature is rising, winter blues are well and truly banished and everyone is now looking forward to the long awaited Spring and Summer months.  At the Killarney Outlet Centre, O'Brien's Irish Sandwich Bar together with Personal Fitness Instructor and Nutrition Expert Susan Fitzgerald of Fitz's Promise are helping Killarney "Spring into Shape for Summer".

Now at the Killarney Outlet Centre, not only can you pick out your new summer wardrobe at a fraction of the cost with savings of up to 70% off normal retail prices, but now you can get fit for summer with a series of weekly Workouts and Workshops, hosted by O'Brien's Irish Sandwich Bar.

Nutri-Fitz is being organised by Susan Fitzgerald of Fitz's Promise.  Susan is a Personal Fitness Trainer & Nutrition Expert who has been based in Killarney for 15 years.  She studied Leisure and Recreation Management for 2 years in Cork, and then came to Killarney and worked in the Gleneagle Aquila Club for 9 years, and Randles Court for 5 years.  Then she made the break to work on her own as a personal fitness trainer and nutrition expert.  For anyone interested in Nutri-Fitz, Susan says "Nutri-FITz will look at the overall health of each individual and we will give instruction and education on nutrition that can add life to your years. It is NOT all about food! It will introduce a range of guest speakers to change your lifestyle forever."

The series of workshops commence on Monday 21st April at 10am at O'Brien's Irish Sandwich Bar and will run for 6 weeks initially.  The cost is €10 per session or €55 for series of 6.  The format will include a Workout from 10am to 10.45am. Then from 10.45am to 11.30am there will be a Workshop which will consist of reviewing Individual Targets and Personal Goals, Achievable Lifestyle Changes, and Motivational Tips.

There will also be Guest Speakers at the Workshops.  One of the guest speakers already scheduled during the six weeks will be RTE's The Afternoon Show's Nutritionist Expert Aveen Bannon, who also writes a weekly food column for the Sunday World Magazine.  Aveen is on a roadshow around Ireland showcasing a new range of products from O'Brien's Irish Sandwich Bar, "The Power of Good Food", developed in response to consumer demands for healthier lunch time options for health- conscious consumers.

Paul Sherry, Killarney Outlet Centre Manager, although not joining in the fun himself stated "At the Killarney Outlet Centre we pride ourselves in offering a Shopping Experience with a Difference and this activity proves this.  People can unwind with an informative and healthy activity, meet new people and enjoy all the facilities that the Centre has to offer.  I am sure it will be a great success and the first of many such activities that O'Brien's Irish Sandwich Bar are organizing."
