Spring into Summer At Boyles of Killorglin 30th & 31st March 2012

Spring into Summer At Boyles of Killorglin 30th & 31st March 2012

23 March 2012

With the wide range of activities there is something for all interests and ages taking place from Friday evening, when the store will be open until 9pm, and on Saturday from 12 noon until 5pm.

Boyles of Killorglin, who recently won the coveted ‘Irish Retailer of the Year 2012’ award, is the ultimate one stop shop for all your home and garden needs, for everything for the home builder to the home maker.  They also specialise in equipment and clothing for a range of outdoor pursuits, and throughout the store have a wide range of brands, some exclusive to Kerry and Munster in store.

One of the highlights of the ‘Spring into Summer’ weekend will be the appearance of one of Ireland’s top Interior Designers and Dulux Colour Consultant, Cora Collins on Friday 30th March from 6pm to 9pm, kicking off the weekend activities.  Cora will be on hand to offer timely advice on how to update your home for Spring and Summer with some simple and innovative ideas; and will be offering one to one consultations. And for people so inspired, there will be special offers on the latest range of colours from the Dulux Range.  Light refreshments will also be served.

As well as offers from Dulux, throughout the store every department will have their own special discounts and bargains to encourage everyone to ‘Spring into Summer’, with selected lines up to 30% off.   Coordinating the event is Store Manager, Karen Boyle “We were so excited when we learned that Cora would be coming down to visit us in the store that we decided to build a whole weekend around it.  On the previous weekend, the clocks will have changed and we will be gaining an extra hour of light in the evenings, so we thought why not inspire people to do more with this extra hour of brightness with a weekend of inspiration and opportunities to meet the experts in the store to help make the most of the additional time we are gaining.”

“We have so much planned, that it is going to be a very busy weekend.  Following on from the Dulux evening on Friday, we have a fun filled day planed for all the family on Saturday from 8:30pm until 6pm.  For the kids there will be Pet Grooming and Advice, a display of Hens and lots of Easter treats such as chocolate eggs and bunnies.  The team from our Outdoor Living section will be giving mini demos on getting your garden ready for summer, with lots of easy hints and tips.  Continuing the outdoors theme, we will have the Laune Anglers on hand to answer any fishing and angling queries and there will be advice on Kerry Way Walks with recommendations on what equipment and clothing is needed to make the most of all our natural amenities right on our doorstep.”

Karen and the team have many more activities planned for inside the home, such as cake decorating with one of Kerry’s most in demand cake makers, Ciara Orme, who will be demonstrating how to customise cupcakes and occasion cakes in simple easy steps.  A top Kerry Chef will be on hand show casing some great barbeque recipes, in optimistic preparation for the long summer evenings of barbequing, using the latest range of BBQs from Weber, with tips on how not to incinerate the food, as most of us usually do!  South Kerry Development Partnership will also be present to advice on latest grants, entitlements and new regulations for farmers.

There really is something for everyone at Boyles of Killorglin’s state of the art 30,000 sqft store with lots of free parking and conveniently located on the outskirts of Killorglin, within easy reach of Killarney and Tralee and of course at the gateway to South Kerry.  As the evenings get longer there is no better place to shop and browse to get inspiration as we plan optimistically for a great summer.
