A win for Killarney Outlet Centre as Leading Labels store set for expansion!

Ireland's Premier Outlet Centre, the Killarney Outlet Centre has welcomed the announcement that fashion store Leading Labels is to significantly expand its premises in the centre which will almost double its floor space to over 11,000 sqft. 

The announcement is good news for all retailers in the Killarney Outlet Centre, who are set to benefit from the increase in footfall that the new expansion will generate as well as the increased product offering that it will produce. 

The Killarney Store will now be one of Munster’s major fashion stores and the biggest store out of the twenty Leading Labels stores in the UK and Ireland. 

Due to open on Saturday June 2nd 2012, the 4,800 sqft increase in floor space at the Killarney Outlet Centre will give the retailer the chance to showcase even more of the latest fashion brands, transforming it into the largest Leading Labels outlet out of all twenty throughout the UK and Ireland! 

Centre Manager, Paul Sherry is delighted with the news as he believes the expansion should see a positive effect on Killarney tourism, resulting in further success and growth for Ireland’s tourism capital. 

Paul states “We are all really excited about the expansion. This is big news for the Killarney Outlet Centre and for Killarney in general, as it will help draw in more tourists and increase footfall to the centre. It’s great that Leading Labels, which has been successfully trading at the Killarney Outlet Centre since day one back in July 1999, have shown the Killarney Outlet Centre such a vote of confidence into the future.” 

Leading Labels Business Development Manager, Paul Gummery, went on to state “Footfall in our Killarney store has always been strong, thanks to the strong mix of holiday makers and local people that shop in the Killarney Outlet Centre and it made good business sense to expand our offering which offers leading brands at a fraction of the normal retail price.  Through the expansion we hope to add to our range of brands including Simon Jeffery, Annabelle, New Highland Cashmere, Craghoppers, Lazy Jacks, and Gurteen, offering an even greater selection of top brands at discounted prices.” 

Leading Labels Store Manager Bridie Cronin O’Connell is looking forward to the big opening. Bridie states “The plans are already in place and the next few weeks are going to be exciting, making sure everything is ready in time for the opening at the beginning of June. The expansion will result in Leading Labels becoming a very dominant store visually within the centre as it will have the appearance of occupying almost a full quarter of the ground floor. ”
