Select Hotels Milk & Cookies Morning

In the wake of the hugely successful annual Teddy's Bear picnic fundraiser, Select Hotels is hosting a nationwide Milk & Cookies Morning at participating member hotels, on Wednesday 8th August, with all donations going to the hotel group's chosen charity, Barnardos - a charity close to many people's hearts - working with Irish families and children in over 40 communities around the country. 

Launched by Barnardos Ambassador Miriam O'Callaghan, the event will take place from 11am - 1pm. Children will be provided with free Milk and Cookies and families are invited to make a donation of their choice to the children's charity. 

There will also be free kiddie's entertainment across each of the participating hotels ranging from kiddies disco, cookery decorating classes, clowns and  magicians, arts and crafts, a colouring in corner, board games, animal balloon making, face painting , princess hair styles, not to mention a few celebrities joining the fun with their own families! 

This wonderful event is being organised by Una Young, GM of Select Hotels of Ireland and brought to life regionally in all of the Select hotels throughout the country, that specialise in Family Holidays. Speaking at the launch Una stated "With so many family-friendly hotel members, Select has a history of deep commitment to supporting Barnardos, and we like to help this amazing children's charity to continue helping vulnerable children and families.  We feel the Milk and Cookies event is the perfect way to continue the previous successes of the Teddy Bears Picnic with a fun filled event with kids being the centre of attention, while fundraising for such a worthy cause."  

Una went on to say "Select Hotels Milk & Cookies Morning is also another great opportunity for our members to give back to their respective communities as each of the participating hotels is proving free entertainment!"

Entry to the event is free for families and Barnardos donation boxes will be displayed in each of the participating hotels for anyone who would like to make a donation. 

Mums and Dads won't be left out in the cold, as tea and coffees will be available to purchase on the day and will also get the chance to win some fabulous prizes as there will be plenty of raffles throughout the morning.
