Leading Irish project management software development company, Digital Crew, announces 10 new jobs in Cork

29 April 2013

This progressive company located in Cork at the North Point Business Park has developed TeamworkPM, which is a feature rich online project management software application that helps teams work together more productively. TeamworkPM is the brainchild of Dan Mackey and Peter Coppinger.

TeamworkPM was initially developed when its founders saw a gap in the market for a project management solution and decided to develop their own application. The team looked at rival products that they felt were lacking in features and functionality and decided to develop their own product. After four years of hard work TeamworkPM was launched and was an immediate success. The team are committed to exceptional customer service and use customer feedback to keep on improving the application.

The cloud based application which helps teams to track and manage projects, share ideas and files, and integrate with other packages has been a huge online success with both large and small international organisations. 90% of the customer base is from the US and Canada and users include a diverse range of home and international clients such as Universal Studios, Disney, Ebay, Microsoft, EA Sports, Ohio University, Pfizer, Oxfam, Forbes Travel, Ubisoft, Paypal, Sony and Pepsi.  TeamworkPM is used by organisations worldwide as diverse as wedding planners to movie producers.

2012 was a great year for Digital Crew, with turnover doubling to $2 million and over 7,000 companies signed up and managing over 500,000 tasks each month; as well as the expansion of their team to nine staff members.

Recent developments such as full integration to packages such as Harvest and Quickbooks, as well as being available for use on iPads, has led to continuous growth and reviews from customers have them scoring near 100% satisfaction rates. It is due to this success they are now looking to recruit talented software developers to be part of this innovative and creative company.

Peter Coppinger is delighted to be expanding the company at this time and says “We are excited about recruiting more people to be part of our success story. At Digital Crew you will get the chance to be a genuine part of a team, working on projects that influence hundreds of thousands of people all around the world. You will be challenged, you will be listened to and you will have the opportunity to work in a great environment where you can make a big impression.”

Digital Crew have some very ambitious plans for the future including new applications and are constantly looking for talented software developers to be part of this exciting team. They pride themselves on not being like most other companies and Dan Mackey says “You will be more than a cog in the machine with us – we have deliberately created an environment for our team that we would have loved to work in when we started our careers. In particular we would love to provide these opportunities to Irish software developers but we are finding recently that we must look abroad for talent. Hopefully we can change this by recruiting from Ireland. We can provide invaluable experience as well as a unique and exciting opportunity that they just won’t get elsewhere in the big companies. We are proud that we are doing this from our hometown.

Digital Crew believe in thinking outside the box and Peter added “Don't just send in a CV – show us something interesting you have programmed such as a game, web app, or phone app. Tell us what parts of TeamworkPM you'd love to improve. Be different, stand out from the crowd!” All job applications can be sent to jobs@teamworkpm.net.

TeamworkPM will host a Careers Day in their headquarters in Blackpool in the coming months, in the search for great up and coming local talent. For more information on Digital Crew and TeamworkPM, visit www.TeamworkPM.net and find them on Facebook and Twitter.
