Invited guests enjoyed “lovinfromtheoven” at Official Launch Party of Bakestone Café, Deli & Bakery

Creativity, imagination and experimentation are at the heart of Bakestone, the brand new food offering at Ballyseedy Home and Garden Centre in Fota Retail Park, Carrigtwohill; and this was certainly evident to invited guests who enjoyed delicious savoury and sweet treats, and an impressive drinks reception at the Official Launch Party on Tuesday 9th July.

Bakestone is the latest business venture by Ali Honour who joins husband and wife team, Joe and Maura Carey, owners of The White Horse Bar and Restaurant, Ballincollig. Together, they have created 12 new jobs, and have exciting plans for the coming months.

At the launch, Ali, who as well as being the owner, is Bakestone's chef said "It's amazing what you can create with imagination and a little experimentation, using even the most basic of ingredients and the simplest of ideas and we wanted to highlight this at our launch party, so we used plenty of flavour, colour and dry ice!"

Imagination goes way beyond the food.... And the launch party at Bakestone. Owner Joe said there will be regular surprises and treats instore, including an exciting schedule of weekly entertainment and activities. He said "Sundays are already a special occasion at Bakestone where our guests can enjoy Sunday Brunch accompanied by a live jazz trio. At Bakestone, we're offering much more than your run of the mill café experience, it's those little extras that make you smile which are important to our team."

Delicious homemade treats from their café, deli and bakery are always on Bakestone menu which changes daily. Serving breakfast, brunch, lunch, afternoon tea and everything in between; all food is cooked fresh in-house so diners will be treated to "lovinfromtheoven" no matter what time of day they pop in.
