A Midsummer Daydream at Hayfield Manor

A Midsummer Daydream at Hayfield Manor

06 July 2008

Sunday 6th of July saw a unique Midsummer Garden Party at Cork's prestigious, five star Hayfield Manor hotel. The event was a Fairy Tale Daydream for ladies as it showcased unique Hayfield Manor experiences as well as a selection of Female Focused Fashion and Beauty Treatments unique to Cork and also Art and Cultural Exhibits as well as Brazilian Jazz Music by Dos Santos.

Girls were dressed to impress as they mingled around Hayfield Manor's luxurious reception rooms and in the beautifully blooming grounds. The afternoon commenced with a Champagne Reception to allow guests spend some time soaking up the atmosphere of this family run and proudly independent establishment.  Entertainers circulated through the crowd surprising guests with tricks and illusions.

On offer were some of Hayfield Manor's most popular experiences including; Wine Tasting with French Sommelier, Pierre Toussaint who opened the champagne with a traditional French sabre, Flower Arranging by Rita Moore, Hayfield Manor's resident florist of twelve years, Cocktail Creations in the Manor Bar and fresh from the success of the Taste of Cork Festival, award winning Head Chef Graeme Campbell entertained the ladies with a Cookery School based on the theme of "parties made simple".

Complimenting the Daydream theme were therapists from the hotels exclusive Beautique Treatment Rooms who offered guests tips on how to get that perfect manicure. They were joined on this special day by Pamela Morrissey of leading Cork Hair Salon, Sobe Brown who offered mini-makeovers and consultations. Every girl's favourite, Clarins, were also at the event, with skincare consultants offering advice on Summer Looks, Skincare and Body Care.

Fashionistas revelled in the marvellous collection of glamorous dresses by designer Marian Murphy Cooney. Brides to Be admired the details of handpicked dresses by Kiss the Bride Boutique in Ballincollig and wistfully examined the special diamond collection by Cork's Favourite Keane's Jewellery.    The World of Jo Malone came to Hayfield Manor with their Brown Thomas team showcasing their delicious scents, luxury gifts and sublime home fragrances.  Also upstairs was a unique collection of Art from Buckley's fine Art who use the classic contemporary setting of the hotel to exhibit some of their collections all year round.

This daydreamer's paradise also had a positive effect as all ladies made a donation to Hayfield Manor's chosen charity Cork Arc Cancer Support House and were then entered into a draw to win incredible luxury prizes from the day's exhibitors and a host of Ireland's top 5 star hotels.

Hayfield Manor's owner Margaret Scally and her daughter, the hotel manager, Anne-Maire Scally took the opportunity to thank their loyal customers in person on the day for their outstanding loyalty to Hayfield Manor over the past 12 years.  Anne-Marie Scally said of the event;

 "Many of the guests here today regularly book corporate events and activities with us, so for this special day we wanted our loyal clients to experience Hayfield Manor in person.  It's a chance for us to meet our clients informally and we aim to take them away from the stresses and the pressures of work related deadlines.  This is a lovely opportunity for our staff to meet the ladies that they speak with every day over the phone and build even stronger relationships.  The ladies also get to experience Hayfield Manor as our guests do, as place you can escape to, and treat as your home from home"

At the end of the day Afternoon Tea was served in Orchids Restaurant and the Garden with tasty treats created in Hayfield's in-house patisserie. Guests then received an exciting Hayfield Manor Goody Bag before they made their way to a Chauffeur Driven Limousine, compliments of Kevin Jordan Executive Travel, a perfect end to a perfect Daydream.
