Nova Broadband host memorable Little Island Business Association Networking Event

21 May 2014

The Little Island business community came out in their droves today as Nova Broadband hosted its first Little Island Business Association (LIBA) networking event on its office in Harbour Point Business Park.

As Nova Broadband celebrates its 10th year in business this summer, Managing Director Dave McDonald felt the time was right for them to host an influential event such as this.

"Nova Broadband was established 10 years ago as an alternative service provider. Back then, broadband availability was poor - even some areas of the city couldn't get any broadband at all. Now, 10 years on, we are thriving and solving broadband problems for residential users right up to multinationals and are continuously growing at a rate we could not have predicted. Our success is mainly down to ongoing referrals from customers and fellow businesses, a lot of which come from those in Little Island, so it’s an honour for us to invite the LIBA community here and celebrate with them through our first of many events.  I am very proud of what we have built up so far and look forward to the next 10 years."

The Little Island Business Association is a not-for-profit organisation formed in May 2012 to promote and market Little Island locally, nationally and internationally and to provide a platform for businesses in the area to network and do more business.

CEO of the Little Island Business Association Michael Mulcahy of No.1 Media says,

"On behalf of the business community of Little Island and district, I congratulate the team at Nova Broadband on their 10th anniversary. It is marvellous to see the growth of the business and the innovative approach that they have to solutions for existing and new clients alike. At the monthly networking meeting of the Little Island Business Association today, hosted by Nova Broadband, we heard all about the solutions that the company offers to businesses who are reliant on broadband connectivity today, which is essentially every business. The business community of Little Island is a vibrant one and one that sees great opportunity in the time ahead for the development of the area and the businesses that are located here and those that will base themselves here in the time ahead".

The Nova Broadband team led by General Manager Ann-Marie Fleming made sure yesterdays event was one to remember as they showcased their famous customer service skills by making sure all guests were looked after and catered for, and even supplied a lucky dip featuring ‘One4all’ vouchers and goodie bags for all in attendance.

Ann-Marie Fleming stated "We were delighted to host the May LIBA networking event as it’s vital that Nova Broadband stands out from the crowd in order to continue growth in the Cork market. As the technical support and sales teams are based in our Little Island offices we are able to keep that personal touch and ensure customer service is top notch. Hosting an event such as this lets us meet the business people in Little Island and show them exactly what we can deliver for them and their businesses. Our success in this approach is evident through our excellent reviews on www.ratemyisp.ie where we have been in the Number 1 spot for a number of years now. Our customers appreciate having an alternative provider to go to without sacrificing quality or customer service".
