Nova Broadband celebrate 10 years in Business and recruitment surge.

01 August 2014

Leading broadband service Nova Broadband celebrated 10 years in business yesterday at their premises in Little Island. The people of Cork came out in their droves to celebrate with the Cork based business that went from a small one man show in 2004 to Munster’s number 1 rated broadband service for the last 4 years in a row.

Speaking on the night about their success over the past 10 years, Managing Director of Nova Broadband Dave Mc Donald explained how he saw a gap in the market and knew he could provide an excellent broadband service for the people of Cork, especially those in low density rural areas who were experiencing very poor broadband.  Since then the business has gone from strength to strength achieving record months every month and double- digit growth in the last three years.

"Nova Broadband was established 10 years ago as an alternative service provider. Back then, broadband availability was poor - even some areas of the city couldn't get any broadband at all. Now, 10 years on, we are thriving and solving broadband problems for residential users right up to multinationals and are continuously growing at a rate we could not have predicted. We have recently expanded into Limerick and Tipperary requiring us to grow the Nova Broadband team. We are constantly updating our service and making sure we stay at Number 1 on www.ratemyisp.ie  and our success is mainly down to ongoing referrals and our constant aim to offer top class customer service. I am very proud of what we have built up so far and look forward to the next 10 years."

The 10th Birthday celebration also marked the arrival of new staff members to the Nova Broadband team and as a result of their current expansion and ongoing success they are continuing to recruit in the areas of technical support, systems administration and customer service.
