The new refurbishment, which is in addition to this year’s investment of a purpose built guest only fitness suite as well as the purchase of surrounding landscape; now sees the hotel sat centrally on almost 25 acres and will present the hotel and spa as a leader in the Kerry hospitality landscape.

‘The Monarch Suite’ ballroom will see a complete makeover will see the entire room is being fully refurbished with a very elegant scheme throughout the room. The structure of what is there will remain but all fabrics, curtains, carpets, seating, antiqued mirrors, wood work and light fittings will change to give it a refreshed classical chic look. The design is being undertaken by Helen Casey Interiors & the proprietor Padraig McGillicuddy has chosen to work with all local suppliers in the South West of Ireland wherever possible.

The next area to receive investment is energy efficiency. The planned upgrade will keep the hotel in line to achieve the best possible practice when it comes to green efficiently, and make the hotel more energy efficient in line with environmental demands from a successful business. Weather compensation with new energy efficient boilers and individual guest control will add comfort.

Behind this ambitious project is hotel owner Padraig McGillicuddy who recently spoke about the refurbishment “we are very dedicated to ensuring the interiors at Ballygarry House are kept up to date with all modern conveniences. This matched with the traditional hospitality values of our staff, we are pushing for the all round experience to provide the best for our customers”.

Hotel manager Miriam Ferriter also stated “we’re delighted to be engaging in this refurbishment. We want to provide our guests with the very best and this injection into the hotel will insure that”.

The new development should be completed in February to prepare for the busy 2015 season.  For more information please www.ballygarryhouse.com
