Dairyglen, a family run enterprise since 1991, celebrated its 25th birthday today with the help of RTE’s Marty Morrissey; Jonathan Irwin, Founder of The Jack & Jill Children’s Foundation and their ever popular Smooch ice-cream brand ambassador Lola the Cow, in Dublin’s Marley Park. As well as celebrating quarter of a century in business, Dairyglen is delighted to announce its charity partnership with the Jack & Jill Children’s Foundation and its yummy ice-cream brand Smooch - made from 100% real dairy creamy goodness and with a world of toppings you can create the Smooch dreams are made of!

Speaking about Dairyglen’ success over the last 25 years, Philip Delaney Managing Director said, “Quarter of a century is a long time to be in business and like many we have had challenges and adapted to changing times. We are excited to see what the years ahead will bring and we are delighted to be celebrating this milestone and announcing our partnership with The Jack and Jill Foundation - we really hope the public will get behind the Celebrity Smooch campaign”.

As part of the partnership, Dairyglen and the Jack and Jill Foundation are asking the public to tweet a picture of who their ‘Celebrity Smooch’ is, using the hashtag #Smooch4JackAndJill. For every tweet Dairyglen will then donate €1 to The Jack and Jill Foundation. Dairyglen and the Jack and Jill Foundation are planning a number of exciting fundraising innovations for 2017.

Speaking about the Celebrity Smooch campaign, Jonathan Irwin, Founder of The Jack and Jill Foundation said, “We are so delighted to have been chosen as Dairyglen’s charity partner for this cheeky campaign and I want to encourage our nurses, families and friends to #Smooch4JackandJill - with every €16 raised funding 1 hour of home nursing care.  A big thank you to Philip Delaney and all the team at Dairyglen on behalf of our 300 families around the country.  Caring for a sick child at home can be a lonely old station, and knowing that brands like Smooch and Dairyglen are behind us makes all the difference.  So let’s get smooching.”

To get involved simply tweet a picture of you and your ‘Celebrity Smooch’ using the hashtag #Smooch4JackandJill and Dairyglen will donate €1 to The Jack & Jill Foundation.  For more information about the Celebrity Smooch Campaign or Dairyglen, please visit www.mysmooch.ie
