CRY’s (Cardiac Risk in the Young) ninth annual Pure Style Fashion Luncheon in association with the Design Centre, took place today, Friday 29th September 2017 in the InterContinental Hotel, 4 Simmonscourt Rd, Dublin 4.

 

The annual event, which has become a staple of the Irish fashion calendar was hosted by CRY Ireland Ambassador Brendan Courtney and brought together a sea of famous faces including, CRY Ambassador Jacqui Hurley, Synan O’Mahony, Helen McAlinden and Caroline Harrington.

 

The fund-raising event is held annually in aid of CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young), an Irish charity that offers free screening and support to those who have lost loved ones to SADS (Sudden Adult Death Syndrome). The funds raised from today’s event will go directly towards the invaluable work that is ongoing at the Centre for Cardiac Risk in Young Persons in Tallaght Hospital.

 

Lucia Ebbs, Business Operations Manager of CRY Ireland said: “This is will be the 9th annual Pure Style luncheon and is one of the main fundraising events in the CRY calendar each year. We are so thrilled to have the Design Centre on board this year who are showcasing some amazing collections today. The money raised from this event each year is vitally important to CRY Ireland to help us continue the free screening service we offer in the CRYP Centre (The Centre for Cardiovascular Risk in Younger Persons) at Tallaght Hospital. We rely heavily on donations to appreciate the service and support to those affected by Sudden Adult Death Syndrome. Every year the CRY Pure Style Fashion Luncheon is such a huge success and seems to get bigger and better year on year.”

 

The Design Centre generously came on board this year as the sponsor for the fashion extravaganza and showcased their Autumn/Winter collections at the event. The Design Centre Fashion Show showcased collections from the best of Irish and international designers including Philip Treacy, Tricotine, Catriona Hanly, Helen Mc Alinden, Sookyoung Song, Caroline Kilkenny, Aoife Harrison and many more. Speaking at the event, owner of the Design Centre Ashling Kilduf said “ It is such an honour to be the fashion partner for the CRY Ireland Pure Style Event. It is such a fantastic event and an event that the fashion industry look forward to every year. We have some appreciate collections from amazing designers on show today and are excited for everyone to see whats coming down the line in the Design Centre this season.”
