New Appointments at The Discovery Partnership offering Business Advisory Support to SME's throughout Ireland

The Discovery Partnership, a network of experienced business professionals who offer a wide range of advisory services to SMEs and other organisations, has appointed two new Associate Partners to its team of Management Consultants.  They will be responsible for developing the work of The Discovery Partnership as well as helping to manage and support Bank of Ireland's "Enterprise Builder", a free independent mentoring service offered exclusively to Bank of Ireland customers. 

Ted Brooks is a commerce graduate from UCD and a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Ireland. He has 25 years of experience in the manufacturing industry in Ireland including 10 years as Global Executive Director of Element Six (formerly DeBeers Industrial Diamonds) a multinational manufacturing company. While there he was responsible for the creation and execution of a full strategic review process of all parts of the business. He also held positions including Global Supply Chain Management, IT and legal roles at executive level.  He has experience in Business acquisition including a new plant build in China and business rebranding. Based in Ennis, Ted is now an Associate Partner with The Discovery Partnership and his extensive experience can be utilised by organisations in the region and throughout Ireland.

Robert Kelly is an Associate Lecturer of International Enterprise and Management at the Institute of Technology in Tallaght. He completed an MBA with the Open University in 2001 and has held a variety of managerial positions with Intel Corporation in Logistics, Operations,Project Management, Strategic Planning and Information Systems during his 13 year tenure. While at Intel Corporation Robert also implemented many change management initiatives. He also established an order management and supply chain process for Lucent Technologies in Blanchardstown, Dublin.  Following this, he became Operations Manager with the Irish Subsidiary of Medical Device company KCI which has equipped him greatly for his new role as Associate Partner with The Discovery Partnership as he understands the challenges, complexities and opportunities faced by SMEs today.  Robert is based in Maynooth Co.Kildare and will offer a full range of business consultancy and advisory services to SMEs throughout Ireland. These appointments come at a time when many SMEs in Ireland are struggling to survive and need practical and objective advice to sustain and improve their businesses.
