Summer of Fun in Cork - From the High Sea to the Marquee!

As "Stay-cations" becomes the new buzz word, Cork is working to attract visitors to experience a holiday in one of the friendliest regions to visit in the world!  To celebrate the Summer of Fun in Cork, Cork Marketing Partnership, together with Fáilte Ireland South West, today unveiled their Cork Summer Marketing Campaign, which has been made all the easier with accolades such as the following from Lonely Planet: - "Cork is at the top of its game right now: sophisticated, vibrant and diverse, while still retaining its friendliness, relaxed charm and quick-fire wit."

Launching the summer programme, Liz McAvoy of the Cork Marketing Partnership stated "This year we want to shout it from the rooftops - Cork really has it all - vibrant nightlife, sport, adventure, shopping, heritage and culture - the perfect place to chill out and relax - something we can all do with a lot more of."

Liz added "We have Summer Festivals throughout the Cork region that will bring the sounds of summer to life - Cork Midsummer Festival, Live at the Marquee - running right now up until the end of July, Kinsale Arts Week and fun on the high seas with Cork Week and the Clipper Festival."

Getting to Cork has never been easier with a new Dublin to Cork Motorway -daily flights between Dublin and Cork, weekday flights from Belfast to Cork and a new Galway to Cork service just launched at Cork International Airport.
