Louis Copeland announced as Guest Speaker for Cork Chamber Christmas Lunch, sponsored by Quintas.

Louis Copeland, a man renowned as much for his business savvy as his style, has been announced as the Guest Speaker, for the Annual Cork Chamber Christmas lunch. The lunch, sponsored by Quintas and in association with the Marketing Institute of Ireland, is always a highlight in the Cork Chamber Calendar. The lunch takes place on Friday 3rd of December at the Maryborough Hotel at 12:30pm.  Traditionally, it has gained a reputation as a relaxed and informal networking opportunity and has been used by Cork businesses to entertain clients and colleagues.

Leigh Gillen, Events Manager of Cork Chamber said of the choice of speaker “We worked with Quintas to decide on a Guest Speaker that would appeal to both men and women in the business community. Louis is a man renowned for his keen business sense, positivity and as someone who has thrived through difficult economic times in the past. He will speak of his own experiences of running the family business, created by his grandfather Hyman Copeland in the early 1900’s, and one that continues to grow and adapt to change”.

Alf Smiddy, who was earlier this year announced as Chairman of Quintas will also speak to guests on the day as well as Ger O’Mahoney, Cork Chamber President.  Fachtna O’ Mahony, Partner at Quintas said “This is the second year of our association with the Cork Chamber Christmas Lunch. We find it a fantastic opportunity to take stock with our clients, colleagues and friends. Undoubtedly it has been a tremendous year of change, both economically and politically and now more than ever, we must use opportunities such as this one, to connect with each other and plan for the future with our business colleagues. I look forward to the event and I’m confident that the event will be as successful as it was last year.”

The event promises to inspire and ignite Cork’s passion and hunger for business at a time when business growth is difficult but not impossible. This year’s lunch will also have a quirky Quintas Quiz with special prizes, as well as a charity raffle.  The prizes have been donated by Quintas clients, all of whom are Cork based companies which ties in well with the “Shop Local” initiative developed by Cork Chamber.  Tickets are on a first-come, first-serve basis and are open to individuals and groups.
