Viral Video Singing Sensation Leah Kirwan will perform at the Down Syndrome Ireland Christmas Carols Concert..

Leah Kirwan first made headlines with her brother Noah, who has Down syndrome after a video of them singing an acoustic version of David Guetta’s, Titanium went viral. Now, Leah will take to the stage as part of the Down Syndrome Ireland (DSI) Christmas Carols First Noel Concert at Christ Church Cathedral on Thursday 1st December from 8pm to 10pm.

The Kirwan family, Dad Darren; Mum Richenda; Leah (16); Hannah (14); Elaina (10) and Noah (9) – are still overwhelmed by the reaction the video received, which now has over 2.5 million views. Leah and some of her fellow students at Bush Post Primary School have since recorded the song ‘Titanium’ in aid of Down Syndrome Ireland, which can be downloaded from iTunes and Google Play. The song reached No 4 in the Irish iTunes Charts.

Speaking about the reaction and the opportunity to sing at the DSI Christmas Carol Concert, Leah Kirwan said, “I can’t believe the attention the video received but I’m delighted it did. Naoh is my brother and my best friend, we love making each other smile. Like me, he loves music especially Irish music and Titanium is his favourite song. He really loves the version the school recorded which includes some Irish elements.”

Leah continued, “Noah is so loving and caring, he inspires me and loves to help people, that’s why we (Bush Primary School) decided to record the song in aid of Down Syndrome Ireland. I am really excited to perform live at the DSI Christmas Carols First Noel Concert

in Christ Church.”

The evening of wonderful festive music and magical Christmas carols will be hosted by Ellen Cranitch of RTE’s Lyric FM. Along with the talented Leah Kirwan the concert will feature the amazing Dublin Welsh Male Voice Choir; The Aspiro Choir, Carlow; David Agnew, Oboist; Clive Armstrong, Organist; Simon Morgan, Tenor and Deirdre Shannon from Irish musical ensemble Celtic Woman.

Tickets cost €25 each and the monies raised will go towards essential services that enhance the lives of thousands of children and adults with Down syndrome throughout Ireland.

In keeping with the time of year, concert goers will also be able to enjoy some tasty mulled wine and delicious mince pies which will be served at the interval, as well as the chance to win festive prizes at the Christmas Raffle.
