Endless Combinations of Shapes, Colours & Materials in Luca's Spring/ Summer Collections

12 March 2009

As the weather improves and the evenings get longer, ladies are looking forward to ditching their boots and wellies and updating their shoe wardrobes and with the Spring/Summer collections from Luca, Cork's fabulously different shoe boutique, they can do it in style! This season's collections are increasingly undisciplined and rebel-like, possess exclusive styles, and result in endless combinations of shapes, colours and new and old materials.

Pedro Garcia is a brand that achieves a signature style with a look so distinctive and versatile that it is recognised by experts and shoe enthusiasts alike. At Luca, Black Satin with frayed finishes and tiny gold sparkles in the form of Swarovski Crystals grace the collection's strappy sandals with an attractive neo-Gothic feel. Classic strappy leather sandals in natural and metallic shades join the powerful new platforms shoes in cork and black patent. The result is a new concept of chunky silhouette with a certain 70's vintage feel. Striking flat gladiator sandals decorated with Swarovski Crystals are casual with a certain opulence; and like the entire collection, they reflect a consolidation of a unique style.

Hoss Intropia's collection has a retro feel with eclectic inspirations drawn from the 1940's, 1950's and 1960's. These shoes range from suede gladiator style sandals to vibrant platforms, t-bars and strappy sandals for eveningwear. While the Janet & Janet collection at Luca will definitely prove popular, as it steers away from thin heels and pointy toes, and adds comfort to ladies' shoe collections in the form of wedges that can be dressed up or dressed down. Comprised of neutral colours like beige, cream and white, hints of pink add colour to the collection.

Luca's L'Autre Chose Collection boldly but elegantly breathes strong, vivacious colours: yellows, reds, purples, greens, blues and oranges. High heels, wedges and clogs are inspired by the folk style of the 70's. Platforms and high heels contrast well with the ultra-flat pumps, reminiscent of dancing shoes and customers will be spoiled for choice with the wide variety of colours the collection offers.

LUCA also stocks a fabulous selection of bags from Coccinelle and Tosca Blu, as well as an exclusive jewellery collection. LUCA, located at 30 Princes Street, Cork is open Monday to Saturday 9.30 to 5.30pm. Phone: (021) 4270440.
