Haiti Fundraiser Mission! Club Mission to host fundraiser night

27 January 2010

Newcastle West- Saturday 30th January- 11.30pm

Following on from the disastrous earthquake, Club Mission, Newcastle West's newest Night Club, is to host a special Haiti Fundraiser, in aid of both Plan Ireland and Haven's appeals to help the victims of the earthquake.

Re-opening ahead of schedule especially for the Appeal on Saturday, the 30th January 2010, Club Mission will be donating 100% of all admission charges directly to Plan Ireland and Haven who are both working on the ground in Haiti helping victims of the disaster.

Popular Limerick entertainer, DJ Donacha, will be spinning his usual great mix of current hits, and there will also be a special treat beforehand in O'Gradys Bar on Church St, as local band The Rivermen have reformed especially for the night. The band will be playing a selection of hits including rock classics, so there will be something for everyone on this night to fundraise for a very worthy cause.

Club Mission's owners Declan O'Grady and  local businessman Michael Hayes who is also owner of the Courtenay Lodge Hotel are both delighted to bring forward the re-opening for this special fundraiser.

Declan states, "The earthquake has been all over the news these past few weeks and the terrible scenes that we are all witnessing puts things into perspective.  Everyone is feeling the pinch at the moment, but when we witnessed the reports coming from Haiti we were desperate to help in any way we could.  We want next Saturday 30th January to be a great success, with everyone from Newcastle West and beyond coming out and supporting the night and hopefully together we will raise lots of money which will go directly to helping these people in Haiti .  As well as this it will be a great excuse to banish the January blues in a really positive way."

Entry fee into the nightclub is €10.00 on the door and admission to O'Gradys Bar, Church St, is free. For further details on the event, call (069) 62244.
