Ballyseedy Home and Garden announces new additions to the family

Cork’s brand new Ballyseedy Home and Garden centre has just announced 3 exciting new big brand concessions to its offering at Fota Retail Park, Co Cork.

Already housing a state of the art garden centre, the only 5 star garden centre in Cork, Ballyseedy has just welcomed Blarney Woollen Mills, home store solutions Meadows and Byrne and Irish causal clothing company Farrell and Brown. Top Drawer, the interiors and bed lined emporium, and children’s centre Go Safari, are already in situ.

The restaurant at the centre, Jacobs, is run by Kudos Catering, the group behind the famed Cork restaurant Jacobs on The Mall. Open for breakfast, the restaurant serves a fantastic variety of light snacks and freshly baked cakes, using local suppliers.

Benefiting from a multi million euro investment by local businessmen Ed and Joe Carey and Dan Mulvihill, Ballyseedy is set to cause a stir in Munster, already creating 60 jobs. The union of the successful developers and garden centre owners Nathan McDonnell and Bernie Falvey is unusual, but a creative solution against the current economic climate.

“We saw real potential in the offering at Ballyseedy in Tralee and were keen to come on board with their Cork expansion.” said Ed Carey. “We were happy to be able to provide the perfect location solution and we have great ambitions for the remaining capacity at the retail park. There is a very strong commitment between the partners, to make this work in Cork.” He concluded.

The Minister for Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht,  Jimmy Deenihan T.D  visited Ballyseedy Home and Garden in Fota Retail Park on the weekend, to mark the opening of the new centre.
