Black & Gold Charity Event in aid of Build4Life

A special pre-Christmas Charity Event is being planned at Val’s Bar & Bistro on Wednesday 18th November in aid of popular Kerry Charity Build4Life, which is fundraising to build lifesaving facilities in Cork University Hospital for Cystic Fibrosis patients.  The theme of the event, which is being organised in association with RSVP Magazine is “Black and Gold” and will consist of a Hair and Make-up Show, with Cocktails on arrival, beautiful finger food from Val’s Head Chef David Norris and will be accompanied by Fine Wines.

Organising the event is Bobby O’Halloran:  “People are so looking forward to Christmas this year.  After all the doom and gloom we all really need to have something to look forward.  To celebrate the start of the Christmas season, which is already looking like a busy one for us at Val’s, we wanted to organise a night to get girls in the party mood and at the same time fundraise for the very worthy cause Build4Life.”

Bobby added “David is already making wonderful plans for the canapés with special treats for the girls on the night and everyone at Val’s is so looking forward to the event.”

Siobhan O’Mahony, Chief Make-up Artist with Clarins will be showcasing Clarins looks for the Festive Season.  “This season, our collection is all about Gold, shimmering pearl and sparkle creating radiant eyes and lips.  On the night we will be showing three distinct looks – Casual, A night out with the Girls and Dressed to Kill.  Our team, in association with Debenhams Tralee are planning a mini showcase with models and I will also be giving a master class on one of the looks on the night, showing guests in detail how to create the Clarins femme fatale winter look, perfect for the party season.”

Award winning Killarney Hair Salon, Sean Taaffe Hair & Beauty will also be on hand, providing the hair styling on the night.  Sean and his team, fresh from their recent triumph at the Schwarzkopf Awards in Dublin, will be showcasing the latest cut and colour trends for the party season.  Sean said “It’s a really great opportunity for us to show the girls in Tralee, exactly what we are all about.  Myself and the team will be there on the night and we are looking forward to meeting as many of the girls for brief one to one consultations and any queries they may have about going for a new look for the festive season.”

Guests at Val’s “Black & Gold” event are being encouraged to be a little creative with their outfits on the night.  Bobby has organised a very special prize, which she stated is “For the girl with the best accessorised outfit on the night, we have a great prize of a Shoe Shopping Break to Cork.  The five star Kingsley Hotel in Cork will give the winner an overnight break for two people and we also have two wonderful shoe boutiques in Cork, LUCA and INKA who have given gift vouchers for the lucky winner.”

Clarins will also have a Hamper of Clarins products for the girl with the best Make-up look on the night.

Tickets for this fun night out are just €40 each and are available from Val’s on (066) 7121559 which is open Wednesday to Saturday from 5.30pm to 10pm.
