Christmas in Killarney Fundraising Night – Kingdom Greyhound Stadium, Tralee Friday 9th October 2009

To assist with the funding of the 5th annual Christmas in Killarney Festival, the committee are organising a Fundraising Night at the Kingdom Greyhound Stadium, Tralee on Friday 9th October at 7.30pm.  Tickets are €10 each.

Not only will you be able to enjoy a fun night out with friends and family with entertainment provided at the races, but you will also be helping to raise funds which will ensure the continued success of the Christmas in Killarney festival, which is now one of the leading and most recognised Christmas Festivals in the country.

Tickets for the Fundraising Night are on sale now from Christmas in Killarney committee members, Killarney Outlet Centre and the Killarney Advertiser, or for further info call (087) 6997872. Don’t worry if you can’t attend, you can still support the event as there are also lots of sponsorship opportunities with sponsorship of individual races from €500, and individual dog nominations from €50.

The Fundraising Night is the start of many events to come for this year’s festival which will be even bigger and better as the entertainment programme will be significantly expanded, and also planned is a major expansion of continental style Christmas Markets. Also there are currently negotiations underway for the return of the very popular ice rink and details of the popular Celebration of Christmas at St Mary’s Cathedral will be announced shortly.

In the coming weeks more new and exciting Christmas in Killarney events and activities will be announced.  Details of these will be on the website www.christmasinkillarney.com. A Facebook page will also be set up for the festival, embracing this new form of on-line socialising and networking, which will keep people up to date on all the events and activities throughout the coming months and during the festival.
