Meditech Clinics – New Franchise Opportunity Introduced to Ireland that Defies the Downturn

Bill Owen is a man who spots opportunities.  Originally from Cork City, and now located in the UK, he is considered one of the leading figures in the franchise industry in the UK and Ireland.  His latest venture Meditech Clinics, a viable alternative to cosmetic surgery without risk and at half the price, was launched in the UK 18 months ago, and already has 13 clinics in the UK.  Bill returned to Cork recently to launch the first Meditech Clinic in Ireland at the Urban Escape Spa at Jury’s Hotel, with a second clinic opening in Dublin in the New Year.

Bill is Managing Director of H4S or “Hungry for Success”, a unique business set up to work with franchisors.  H4S undertakes a focused professional and successful selection of franchisees.  After many years experience in sales, Bill Owen has devoted the last 14 years to franchising.  He spear-headed the launch and development of the Snack-in-The-Box franchise, with exclusive contracts for vending Cadbury products in the UK and Ireland, and has had hands on experience of every aspect of the franchisee recruitment process and subsequent support and management of the network.  H4S is an Affiliate Member of the British Franchise Association and currently works with a group of franchised companies that are triple BFA Members.

At the launch of Meditech ‘s Cork Clinic, Bill stated “Meditech Clinics gives me the opportunity to introduce an exciting franchise opportunity to Ireland.  Non-surgical aesthetic procedures are on a major growth phase. Despite the global downturn, in the UK alone it is estimated that the sector will grow from £600 million in 2007 to £1 billion by 2011. We are expecting to see the same growth patterns in Ireland and therefore, Meditech Clinics offer very viable opportunities for people interested in setting up new businesses or expanding on their current product offering in the beauty sector.”

The cost of medical surgery usually starts at approx €4,000, while Meditech’s treatment is approximately half this amount, without the invasive nature of conventional surgery, a natural approach, without risk, pain, or recovery period.  The treatments include Fat Reduction, Cellulite and Stretch Mark Treatments; Breast Enhancements; Face Lifting and Rejuvenation.  For the franchisee, Bill and his team offer a package that includes Equipment and Product, Launch Programme and Assistance, Comprehensive Training Programme and Business Plan Development.

Marian Forde, who set up Ireland’s first Meditech Clinic in Cork stated “I was looking for ideas on setting up my own business after spending nearly 10 years in the Insurance Industry.   I discovered Meditech in the UK, was impressed with the results achieved and it fitted the bill perfectly.  I was always interested in more holistic approaches in the Cosmetic Industry, and through Meditech I can offer my clients a pain free, totally natural and non-invasive alternative to cosmetic surgery.  The set up was easy, the training really comprehensive, and I now see firsthand and on a daily basis, the results the process can achieve, without having to resort to cosmetic surgery.”

Detailed information on the procedure as well as documented case studies and testimonials can be found on  Marian can be contacted at the Cork Meditech Clinic at the Urban Escape Spa at Jury’s Hotel, Western Road; email or call the Clinic directly on (021) 427 2027.
