Our design team recently had the pleasure of working with Limerick City and County Council as creative design partner for 2 of their key annual festivals. Limerick St. Patrick’s Festival and Riverfest Limerick, are a celebration of Limerick’s position on the tidal River Shannon and its designation by Fáilte Ireland as a Gateway City to the Wild Atlantic Way, echoed in the brand positioning Limerick Atlantic Edge, European Embrace. Limerick showcases the city’s energy, excitement and limitless possibilities from its Atlantic location, while acting as a stage for parades, street artists, live music and cultural events throughout the year.
The primary focus of the marketing campaigns is to celebrate and promote family fun activities and engaging events taking place over the festival periods and drive footfall to Limerick City centre.
In addition to programming and promoting a number of festival highlight events, Limerick City and County Council work with local stakeholders to showcase their offerings, particularly in the tourism, hospitality and live entertainment industries, by promoting their offers, activities and events to wider audiences.
The following objectives were outlined in the brief:
- Raise awareness and generate positivity about Limerick Festivals and encourage attendance at flagship events and activities
- Attract locals and visitors to Limerick, increase length of visit and dwell time in Limerick City and increase festival profile both locally and nationally
- Generate positivity and excitement for Limerick St. Patrick’s Festival and Riverfest Limerick
- Encourage footfall into Limerick City
- Promote Limerick as a go-to destination for overnight stays and weekend staycations
- Increase followers across Limerick Festivals social channels Facebook, Instagram, X and TikTok
- Drive traffic to Limerick.ie and the dedicated festival webpages
GRAPHIC DESIGN FUZION PROVIDED:
Overall Design Theme – for both festivals, using exisitng logos while bringing a fresh, vibrant new style to all pieces.
Digital Guide – Graphic design and layout of digital event guide which is easily viewed as a pdf on mobile and web in single panel format
Print Tent Cards – for distribution in multiple venues throughout Limerick
Print Media Adverts – for local newspapers and publications
Social Media/Web Assets – templates for regular updates and digital advertising
