Fun Family Day at Fernhill House Hotel Marquee and Gardens this Sunday Celebrating 4th July

Celebrate Independence Day in style at the gardens of Fernhill House Hotel, Clonakilty, West Cork this Sunday 4th of July from 1 pm to 5pm.

Guests will enjoy an American Style Barbeque on the grounds of the hotel where there is a permanent garden marquee, with free entertainment for the kids including face painting, balloon artists and lots of games which will be fully supervised.  Families have been coming to Fernhill House Hotel to celebrate special occasions for over thirty years. In the last few years the gardens have been redeveloped providing a wonderful area of beauty on the outskirts of Clonakilty town. The permanent marquee has proved immensely popular for weddings and people are also choosing the marquee for private barbeques and corporate functions.

Proprietors Teresa and Michael O’Neill run the hotel with the help of their son Neil. Teresa says “We’re using the gardens more and more this summer thanks to the fine weather. We have so much space here that it is the perfect place for families to get together. The gardens are really beautiful at the moment and we’re inviting families and friends to come out for the day this Sunday. Children will be entertained with a variety of activities and games, while mums and dads can relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.”

Barry Sheridan, who is the new chef at Fernhill will serve up a delicious American style barbeque including homemade burgers, and of course hot dogs! There will also be ice-cream for children as well as lots of great entertainment and surprises along the way.

Although families will pay for food there is no entry charge to the gardens. Please note, the event is weather dependent. Call Fernhill House Hotel to book your place on (023)8833258
