Green Business to hold regional seminars to help businesses save money

Companies nationwide are encouraged to attend free Sustainable Business Seminars as Green Business travel the country looking to save businesses money. The four seminars will take place in Shannon on the 10th May, Dublin on the 11th May, Wexford on the 19th May and Tipperary the 26th May.


The seminars are hosted by the Green Business programme which is a free resource that helps businesses save money by reducing their energy and water usage.


The informative seminars will explore and examine topics such as energy efficient technologies for SMEs, how an environmental management system can give businesses of all sizes a commercial advantage over their competitors as well as why and how to reduce a business’ carbon footprint. Attendees will also get to hear from representatives from different industries on how going green has helped them save money.


When asked why local business should attend these seminars, James Hogan, Programme Manager of Green Business said:


Every business no matter what size or industry would like to save more money without having to invest heavily to do so. These seminars are completely free and are a great opportunity for businesses of all sizes and types to hear from other businesses about what savings can be achieved if you are simply more aware and efficient in your waste management practices. The seminars are organised with the support of the EPA, Ibec, South Dublin County Council, Tipperary Green Business Network, Shannon Chamber, Supply Network Shannon, Clare Local Enterprise Office, Wexford Chamber, the East Midlands Region Waste Management Office and Southern Region Waste Management Office. Speakers at the events include representatives from SEAI, Calor, GET Solutions and Electric Ireland.
