The Social and Fashion Event of the Year will take place on Monday 3rd November when over 300 guests will be treated to the very best of Fashion, Beauty & Style, Quality Food & Wine and Entertainment - all in the dazzling surroundings of the Malton Hotel, Killarney. 

The event which is being organized in association with RSVP Magazine, will showcase the best of fashion from one of the most stylish towns in Ireland - Killarney; and is in aid of a very worthy cause, the Christmas in Killarney Festival.  The festival, now in its fourth year, creates a special atmosphere in town, delivering "Christmas as it should Be" with festive displays of light, Munster's biggest and best free Santa's Lodge, and lots of free events and activities in the fun packed Christmas itinerary. 

This special night will commence with a Drinks Reception followed by a Sumptuous Five Course Banquet.  There will be a Style Talk with one of Ireland's leading fashion figures Celia Holman Lee, who will be giving hints and tips on how guests can put their own personal twist to the new trends for the festive season.  There will also be an Exhibition and Spa Zone where guests can browse and perhaps pick up a treat for themselves or Christmas presents with a difference.

Continuing with the festive theme, Mary Culloty O'Sullivan, the Killarney based Soprano who has performed internationally, will be performing from her repertoire of Christmas themed Songs and Carols, haunting Irish Ballads and also pieces from leading West End Musicals.

Emir Irwin O'Shea, who is organizing the event on behalf of the Christmas in Killarney Committee, stated "Due to the success of last year's Christmas in Killarney sell out Fashion Event, we decided to make it even more of an occasion.  This year we have even more stores participating, showcasing the wide selection of fashion that is available in town from high end boutiques to high street stores, everyone is included and we guarantee there will be something on the Catwalk for everyone."

Tom Randles, Co-Chairman, Christmas in Killarney Committee added "The fashion event last year was a sell out event that raised vital funds for the Christmas in Killarney Festival, and it is hoped, thanks to the work Emir and her team are putting in, that this will be an even bigger occasion and that even more funds will be raised to secure the continued success of the Festival."

In total 19 shops will be taking to the Catwalk for this Fashion Spectacular: Betsy Boo, Brian James, b.young, Camille Lingerie, Christy's, Deirdre's Fashions, ENVY, Farrell & Brown, Graffiti, Jean Scene, Leading Labels, Lulu, MacBees, Marks & Spencers, NIKE, Paco, Quills, Style Room, Weardrobe.  Award winning salon Sean Taaffe Hair & Beauty will provide Hair Styling for the Catwalk Show and makeup will be by Kennelly's Pharmacy.pa

There will of course be a very special prize for Best Dressed on the night, which will be judged by Paula Lenihan, Editor RSVP Magazine.
