Film In Cork has joined forces the with Local Enterprise Office (LEO) South Cork to offer a six week, Start Your Own Business Programme, specially designed for those working in film, television and animation.

The extremely practical course, running one Monday evening per week from September 11th to October 16th, will cover everything participants need to know about areas such as assessing the viability of a business idea; working up a complete business plan; conducting basic market research; developing a marketing plan; and simple bookkeeping.

Speaking about the upcoming programme, Rossa Mullin, who runs Film In Cork said “We are thrilled to partner LEO South Cork to offer this programme to people in the Cork region. If you work in the film, television or animation sphere, and have ever thought about starting your own business or would like to hone your business skills in a supportive environment, this course is ideal for you!”

Supported by both Cork City Council and Cork County Council Arts Offices, Film In Cork provides production, location and training services to those working in film, television, and animation. In addition to providing assistance to anyone wanting to produce in Cork, it also helps to bring together the broad spectrum of people working in the industry so the region can really grow and prosper.
