Multi-Award Winning James Whelan Butchers will open their Dunnes Stores, Cornelscourt butcher shop for 107 hours straight in the lead up to Christmas Day. The perfect safety net for any last minute Turkey and Ham “emergencies” or for people looking for something a little bit special to offer friends and family visiting over the holidays.

Known for their artisan butchery excellence and expertise, the Cornelscourt butcher shop will open its doors from 7am on Thursday 20th December until 6pm on Christmas Eve.

Speaking about the decision to open for 107 hours straight in support of the Christmas rush, Pat Whelan of James Whelan Butchers said, “It’s quite amazing to look back on the last few years and see how much our small business has grown and is still growing. To be able to operate on a 24 hour basis in the lead up to Christmas is testimony to the fantastic team we have making this possible and hopefully we can help any last minute Christmas food shoppers out of any sticky situation!” Pat continued, “Christmas is a very special time of year and we want to make it as easy as possible for our customers to shop at a time that suits them, in this hectic pre Christmas week. The 24 hours service is something we introduced last year in our store in Cornelscourt and the feedback was really positive - time poor people being given the opportunity to shop anytime day or night, while still getting amazing quality products and service.”
