As we dust off our weekend travel bags and allow ourselves to dream of our next getaway, planning the perfect escape has never been more important. We long for when we can drive away, as we put the last few months of sacrifice behind us - even just for a few days.

The Wilder, one of Dublin's finest resident’s only Townhouses is already preparing to welcome such weary travellers, wishing to escape to an oasis of calm and exquisite comfort and pleasure, nestled in beautifully manicured gardens, close to the famous Iveagh Gardens and nearby St. Stephen’s Green.  This Victorian townhouse, steeped in history and lovingly restored, offers a luxurious experience for every guest coming through its welcoming doors.

Looking forward to opening those doors from the end of June is General Manager, Barry Francis who stated “Having this time of hibernation gave us lots of opportunity to plan how we will welcome our guests back. The safety of our guests and our team will always be paramount, but we never want to compromise the unique atmosphere at The Wilder Townhouse that we are renowned for, as well as the high level of customer service we promise.”

As well as guaranteeing a reassuring residents’ only environment, keyless technology for guests has been introduced as well as spatially laid out areas to accommodate social distancing, without compromising on atmosphere or service. The signature cocktails, so popular with residents and served in The Gin and Tea Room will continue to be a very special experience as will the breakfasts and light plates served throughout the day in the Garden Room.

Barry added “We are in a very unique position for an independent Dublin establishment, in that all of the facilities are exclusive to our small number of guests. This has given our returning and new guests great reassurance. We are also so lucky to have our own garden terrace, at the fringe of the Georgian quarter, that we can truly offer our guests an oasis in the heart of the city.”

“We are encouraging our returning guests to enjoy all that Dublin has to offer, but maybe look at the city through a different lens - planning more outdoor adventures, with historic walks and trails, taking in the, winding streets of Dublin, parks and canals - inviting people to rediscover our beautiful city, full of character, with our very special townhouse at the centre of it all.”

As the country reawakens, there has never been a better time to plan some quality time away to rediscover special places with loved ones. Barry said “During lockdown, connecting with friends and family was something everyone missed. As we reawaken, this quality time with loved ones will be even more treasured.”

To celebrate the reawakening of the country, The Wilder Townhouse have created two very special packages. Especially for couples the “Together Again” package promises all of the ingredients for the perfect romantic and luxurious getaway. This package includes a bottle of chilled Bollinger Champagne awaiting in guests’ room on arrival, a personalised bouquet of flowers designed by leading Dublin florist, Appassionata, Maison Margiela toiletries, lavender pillow spray and sleep masks with late check-out and breakfast in bed, from €299 per couple.

For luxurious breaks with friends and family, the “Summer Staycation” package includes a night’s stay with breakfast and a complimentary bottle of chilled Prosecco and Irish strawberries from €169 for two people.
