As spring approaches, and girls look forward to updating their wardrobes with the latest collections, ladies from all over Cork and beyond can now call into the fabulous shoe boutique, LUCA, and fall in love with their Spring Collections which have just arrived in store.
It's not surprising that in a season when footwear is actively declaring its presence, ladies will settle for nothing less than first rate fashion, and thanks to LUCA, they don't have to settle for less! For example sparkling, magic designs now available in Luca, would make Cinderella's crystal slippers pale in comparison. LUCA features collections within collections, with versions of many shoes available in a variety of materials, colours and contrasting textures. Well known labels such as Pedro Garcia and Pura Lopez dominate the new collections, as well as more exclusive labels like L'Autre Chose and Jaime Mascaro.
L'Autre Chose literally means "the other thing" - and has a different approach to the world of footwear. The collection is extremely feminine and intends to make wearers feel like glamorous sixties-seventies icons, or ladies on the beaches of St. Tropez and Capri, but also pays attention to the functional aspect of a shoe. The Wedge, an exclusive look for Spring/Summer 08, is being celebrated at LUCA - from classic espadrilles in rope and canvas, to more sophisticated shoes recalling the shorter platform from the forties. A strong recall to the sixties also is evident in the colours and materials used.
Pretty Ballerinas from Jaime Mascaro are a favourite of celebrities worldwide, such as Claudia Schiffer, Kelly Osbourne and Lindsay Lohan to name but a few... and Cork ladies can now join the long list of fans thanks to LUCA.
Thanks to Pedro Garcia at LUCA, satin glossy heels will set ladies apart from the masses. Tidy clean cut little numbers with no buckles or backstitches feature in the collection, but so do high square, open-toed platforms, and strappy sandals. The collection also contains some of its classic touches, such as frayed satin, a Pedro Garcia favourite.
