A PORTRAIT OF SUCCESS… FUZION CELEBRATES 10 YEARS IN BUSINESS

02 December 2010

Award winning Irish agency Fuzion Communications celebrated its 10th Birthday this weekend, marking a decade of phenomenal growth and success.

Founded in 2000 by businesswoman Deirdre Waldron, Fuzion's is a success story that would inspire anyone that has ever dreamed of making the leap and setting up a business of their own.

From its roots as a sole trader operating from a small home office, Fuzion today has offices in Cork, Dublin and most recently, Kerry, with a team of nine servicing over 50 clients throughout the country.

In 2003, Deirdre was joined by her husband Greg Canty, a qualified Certified Accountant and Business/Marketing Analyst. Together with the help of their capable, hardworking team, they built the Fuzion brand, creating a unique full service PR, Marketing and Graphic Design agency, unlike any of its competitors.

Fuzion's success was officially cemented earlier this year when the company won an award for Excellence from the Public Relations Institute of Ireland for its work with the Cystic Fibrosis Association of Ireland and their campaign for dedicated CF facilities at St. Vincent's Hospital. The company beat off stiff competition to claim the coveted award in the Public Affairs category at a gala awards ceremony in Dublin last June.

A further measure of Fuzion's success is the fact that the company has recruited two new members to its close knit team in the past four months; a rare phenomenon in these economically turbulent times.

When asked where the secret of Fuzion's success lies, Deirdre said with conviction "I don't think a week goes by when one of the team doesn't go that extra mile for a client and I continue to be impressed by them. Such teamwork has helped us through so much and despite all the craziness around us we still have fun; we work hard, play hard and do the very best for our clients at every turn. I look forward now to Fuzion's future and hope that the next decade is as special as the first."

Deirdre also goes on to say: "Another ingredient to our success is adapting to change. We are constantly looking for new ways to communicate our clients' messages, for example, all of our team have embraced new media and we have key people within Fuzion now who have become experts at Social Media, Web Optimisation and Blogging.  Since April, Greg's blog alone received 18,000 views and this practical hands on experience has been invaluable to our clients as they look for more cost effective ways of getting their messages out to target markets."

Fuzion marked its decade in business at a dedicated party for clients, associates and friends at its new office at 51, South Mall in Cork on Friday 26th November. Over 100 people attended the event and helped the team to celebrate its successful milestone with an evening of fun, laughter and friendship.
