Unique Children's art goes into Storage

16 April 2008

Three years ago when Wm O' Brien Public Storage first opened, a colouring competition was launched to celebrate its first birthday. Now,in its third year the competition has been growing from strength to strength with 6,500 entries from over twenty Primary Schools participating in the event.

The competition was divided into two categories under twelve and under seven. The standard of entrants was extremely high and some of the entries showed great imagination and flair. The overall winner of the under twelve category was Max Skuse, aged 11 of St. Anthony's National School. Winner of the under seven competition was John Holland, of Christ The King Boy's School. Both winners received a voucher and also have the honour of having their framed photo exhibited at William O' Brien, Public Storage for the next year.

There was a runner up in every school who also received a framed photo of their picture to be hung in the school..as well as chocolate surprises!

William O' Brien, CEO of Public Storage says;

"I think it's important to reach out to the local community and organise a competition like this. It shows that kids have a great imagination and the winners should be extremely proud of their achievement. It wasn't easy to pick a winner but the team here at Wm.O'Brien Public Storage saw something special in the winners chosen. Who knows, we might have the next Van Gough in the making..I'll have to keep the winner's paintings in storage just in case"
