The Ireland Poland Chamber of Commerce is the first all island Chamber of Commerce to be established on the island of Ireland and has received support from business, political and diplomatic interests.

The Ireland Poland Chamber of Commerce is a not for profit membership based organisation whose aim is to promote, support and enable business opportunities in Ireland and Poland for its members.

Trade between Ireland and Poland continues to be of great importance and offers potential for growth for both markets as well as potential for the creation of synergies and partnerships on a European and Worldwide level.

According to Enterprise Ireland, Poland is Ireland’s 10th largest market for Irish indigenous exports and exports to Poland continue to grow.

The Ireland Poland Chamber of Commerce is designed to assist Irish companies seeking to enter the lucrative Polish market, companies already in the market and members of the Irish investment community seeking potential opportunities. The new Chamber was conceived by the three Honorary Consuls of Poland in Ireland who saw the need to facilitate companies and individuals in Ireland and Poland seeking a Chamber of Commerce to represent their interests.

The Honorary Consuls, Jerome Mullen based in Northern Ireland, and Patrick O’Sullivan and Michael Mulcahy based in the South, believe that the opportunity for investment in Ireland by Polish companies is very real. Equally the fostering of an entrepreneurial spirit amongst the approximate 250,000 Poles living on the island of Ireland is very real, with many Poles very keen on retraining so as to start their own businesses in Ireland and creating jobs.Speaking at the launch, the Lord Mayor of Belfast Cllr Niall Ó Donnghaile said “I am delighted to host the launch of this new Ireland Poland Chamber of Commerce, and welcome all efforts to bring new jobs and investment into the country. Facilitating Northern Irish companies seeking to export to Poland or expand operations in Poland is also very welcome. I am also very pleased to see that the Chamber will facilitate and encourage investment amongst the business community of Ireland and Poland.”

The Ireland Poland Chamber of Commerce will have offices in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland, and will operate a full service Chamber of Commerce office base. Full details are available on the Ireland Poland Chamber of Commerce at www.irelandpolandchamber.com .
