creates ‘Moment of Happiness’ for local Charity, Ireland’s newest lottery betting company, presented a cheque for €6,600 to Making Connections, a non-profit organisation working with Health Services and community groups in South County Dublin since 2009, to alleviate loneliness and isolation in the Community. is committed to supporting good causes in all markets in which it operates and as part of their sustainable Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Programme, are working with the Community Foundation for Ireland to engage with local community charities, where funding can make a real and immediate difference to people’s everyday lives.


Making Connections believe something as simple as a regular home visit can have a very positive impact on an older person’s general health and well-being. They connect volunteers who are garda vetted, screened and fully trained (omit fully screened volunteers) with an older person based on common interests, to do weekly hour-long visits. Currently, they are supporting a team of 80 engaging and energetic volunteers, in the Dun-Laoghaire-Rathdown community.


Speaking about the donation, Mary O’Donohue CEO of Making Connections said, “We would like to thank for their generous donation, that will enable us on our journey to continue cultivating a connected and thriving community for generations to come. We aim to create a community where everybody looks out for everybody else and this money will go directly towards the befriending programme”
