mylotto24.ie creates ‘Moment of Happiness’ for local Meath Charity

mylotto24.ie, Ireland’s newest lottery betting proposition, presented a cheque for €6,773.60 to the Cultúr Migrants Centre, a community organisation working across County Meath with ethnic minorities including immigrants, migrant workers, asylum seekers and refugees.

mylotto24.ie is committed to supporting good causes in all markets in which it operates and as part of their sustainable Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Programme, are working with the Community Foundation for Ireland to engage with local community charities, where funding can make a real and immediate difference to people’s everyday lives.

The Cultúr Migrants Centre aims to create an equal and intercultural community, where ethnic minorities and their families are included and respected. They promote the empowerment, participation and self determination and rights of these minorities, who experience or are at risk of poverty, social exclusion and racism. For instance, they operate a free employment support and training programme, and an intercultural youth leaders programme.

Speaking about the donation, Tinu Achioya, Manager at the Cultúr Migrants Centre, said, “We are so grateful for this donation from mylotto24.ie, and thrilled they have chosen us to support this year. Here at the centre, we focus on community work, human rights, policy work, and organisational development and this money will enable us to continue to provide these services to ethnic minorities in Co. Meath. This money will go specifically towards funding a series of workshops that upskill and empower our community. Our first free empowerment workshop “Jewellery Making” will take place in December and other free workshops are planned for 2018”

Launched in early 2017, mylotto24.ie currently provides betting for four different lotteries; Irish National Lottery, EuroMillions, EuroJackpot and the German Lotto, with mylotto24.ie guaranteeing to match the prize amounts and jackpots on offer in those draws.

mylotto24.ie aims to improve the lottery experience of the Irish audience, by creating a refreshingly simple new way to create small moments of happiness leading to a better life. Lena Patel, Head of CSR, mylotto24.ie, said “We believe in giving back, in particular providing support to organisations that do amazing work but often fly below the radar. We are delighted to be supporting three local Irish charities in 2017. The Cultúr Migrants Centre is a  fantastic organisation and it means a lot for us to support the work they are doing, in celebrating diversity and establishing an intercultural society.”
