The Festival Season is not over yet! The Station House Bar and Grill host spectacular Music Festival

The Station House Bar and Grill, Blennerville, will play host to ‘The Windmill Music Festival’, the first of its kind, from Friday 25th to Sunday 27th September. This unique and exciting three day event will include twenty five live bands, producing a complete mix of music style; from Blues to Rock; Reggae to Funk; Soul to Indie; Electro to Acoustic; and of course the event wouldn’t be complete without a bit of Trad to top it all off!

With delicious outdoor food including a tasty Spit Roast BBQ, and plenty of drink with pitchers of Beer sponsored by Heineken, you’ll be crazy to miss it.

Admission for the spectacular music event is free, to Celebrate Tralee’s first ever ‘Culture Night’, and it promises to be a great weekend out for friends and family with great entertainment, including kids entertainment by Toby World; featuring Toby the Turtle, face painting, Toby Karts (weather permitting)  and street entertainers; fire eaters and a Samba band. Many local acts will also participate, as well as an appearance from Kerry’s Got Talent Finalists. As well as his passion for food, proprietor of The Station House Bar and Grill, Lee Bradshaw, has always been passionate about music. In conjunction with ‘Culture Night’, Lee believes ‘The Windmill Music Festival’ will be a great excuse to let the people of Tralee experience a wide range of music, along with great tasting food. “It’s brilliant that Tralee is joining 12 other cities and towns across the country to help the locals experience a fun and different event. It’s definitely going to be a lively weekend here at the Station House and all are welcome.”

Another highlight of the weekend will be the return of the ‘Autumn Vintage Steam Thrashing Event’, which will take place in the Windmill car park, Blennerville, on Sunday 27th.  With a magnificent display of historic engines, the popular annual event will awaken many memories. The steam train will depart every 30 minutes from the Aqua Dome delivering you directly to the centre of the festivities in Blennerville, and will again depart every 30 minutes from Blennerville back to Tralee.

‘The Windmill Music Festival’ is a charity event in aid of Cancer Research and is being held in conjunction with ‘Culture Night’ Tralee.  Local band “Lineage”, who will play live during the festival, have been involved in fundraising and organising for the event. “One member of the band, Alex O’ Brien, holds this particular charity close to his heart as his father, well known and respected business man Donal O’ Brien passed away last year after his battle with cancer. So although admission is free we would ask people to dig deep and support our elected charity throughout the weekend.”For further information, call (066) 7149980 or visit www.thestationhouse.ie / culturenighttralee.com.
