I know I’ve written about this very simple topic before, a long time ago.
When I did a search on my blog I can see that I was writing about this very thing back in 2012.
The simple point I was making back then was if someone is searching online for the product or service that you offer and they can’t find you then “you are not in the game”.
For all of the advances in technology since then, including the role of AI in the search process, the simple principle applies and in all honesty the ways to go about being found haven’t changed a whole pile since.
Google is still king, the features and formats have changed, but in essence it is still a “search engine” and it does want people to find what they are looking for.
As a business owner, or organisation your job is to make it easy for Google to find you and this can happen by following good SEO (Search engine optimisation) practices and by implementing a Google Ads campaign to cover search performance gaps.
One way or another, you want to make sure that when someone is searching for what you do, that they find you towards the top of the search tree.
People move fast, when they have a problem they want to find a solution – if you can solve that by putting that solution in front of them as quickly as possible, you should have a red hot prospect to hopefully convert into a customer.
At Fuzion we refer to these hot prospects as the “low lying fruit” – they already know what they want and you just need to make sure you are there to welcome them in your front door and tell them how brilliant you are!
If you need help with your digital marketing, with your SEO or your Google ads you know where we are.
