VERDE LED is first Irish lighting manufacturer to receive Carbon Trust accreditation

Leading Irish manufacturer of commercial energy saving LED lighting solutions, VERDE LED has become the first, and only, Irish Lighting manufacturer to receive Carbon Trust accreditation from the UK.

The Carbon Trust Accredited Supplier scheme is the UK’s market-leading scheme for high quality energy efficient equipment and renewable technology suppliers, and is designed to help businesses wanting to implement energy saving projects to select suppliers with a proven track record in designing, supplying, implementing and commissioning energy saving projects. This helps to provide the end customer with confidence that the predicted energy, carbon and cost savings will be realised.

Founded in 2010, VERDE LED is now an established force within the LED industry both in Ireland and abroad, and is one of the leading commercial LED Lighting manufacturers and suppliers in Europe. The company offers a wide range of lighting solutions using premium LED chip technology primarily for commercial purposes.

VERDE’s products offer huge energy usage savings, more effective lighting (colour and direction can be tailored), and a much longer life cycle, leading to significant cost savings (up to 80%), and short payback periods. Clients include many Fortune 500 companies and Public body organisations.

To achieve Carbon Trust accreditation, VERDE LED met criteria set by the Carbon Trust designed to examine their capability to deliver thoughtful, well-designed energy efficient and renewable energy systems. Only suppliers and contractors with a significant track record in the design, supply and installation of energy efficient equipment and renewable energy technologies are eligible to apply for accreditation status.

Commenting on the accreditation, John Keohane, CEO of VERDE LED said “As an established and trusted name in the energy efficiency sector, we feel that Carbon Trust Accredited Supplier status provides us with another differentiator in the market place, particularly as the only Irish lighting company to hold it, and highlights our commitment to delivering first class energy savings solutions to our clients.”
