A giant Tea Party will be held this weekend, Sunday 28th August at Ballyseedy Home and Garden, Fota Retail Park, Carrigtwohill, to launch the Ballyseedy Kids Club. The event is in aid of the Jack and Jill Foundation.
Taking place from 12pm- 4pm, the event promises to be a wonderful day of fun and entertainment, before children go back to school.
Nathan McDonnell, owner of Ballyseedy, and his team will also be giving gardening demonstrations to aspiring green fingers, showing everyone how to set up their own gardens, throughout the day.
To inspire them in the garden, children will receive an exciting goody bag going home, containing everything they need to start their own garden – a wonderful potted plant and a packet of seeds with a simple ‘how-to’ guide, along with the brand new Kids Club MyGarden blog information.
Speaking about the upcoming charity Garden Party, Nathan McDonnell, owner of Ballyseedy said “We’re really looking forward to this event as it will be a great day out for all the family before the schools start up again, and I’m really looking forward to getting all those aspiring gardeners planting herbs and flowers for themselves! At the same time, we hope to raise lots of money for the Jack and Jill Foundation so it’s for a great cause too.”
No garden party is complete without special guest Queen of the Elves who will be making balloon animals, and Mia The Clown who will be painting kiddies’ faces on the day.
For just €10, tea party platters of sandwiches, little cakes and family pots of tea, will be available to purchase and will generously contribute to the Jack & Jill Foundation.
Towards the end of the event a mega raffle will take place with some fantastic prizes from Meadows & Byrne and Ballyseedy Home and Garden. Families are also welcome to explore the fabulous store and garden centre.
