Cork Company Nova Broadband experience great success in 2014 and look set to take 2015 by storm

29 December 2014

Leading broadband service provider Nova Broadband celebrated 10 years in business and their most successful year to date in 2014. The Cork based business that went from a small one man show in 2004 to now Ireland’s number 1 rated broadband service for the last 5 years in a row, managed to increase their subscriber base by 54% in 2014 alone.

The increase in customers is due to a number of factors including additional product offerings, improved service and their expansion into Limerick and Tipperary which created 8 new jobs in the areas of sales, technical support, installations and billing. Speaking about their success in 2014, Managing Director of Nova Broadband Dave Mc Donald looks back on the successful year and what he puts the success down to “2014 has been our best year to date. We have expanded into different counties, created new jobs, improved our offering and as a result have seen an increase in our subscriber base by over 50%. In recent years the business has gone from strength to strength, achieving record months every month and double- digit growth, an achievement that could not have been achieved without the fantastic team we have here at Nova Broadband. As you can imagine it has been an extremely busy year for us, and all the team have gone above and beyond to make sure we are doing all we can to make sure we are delivering the best possible product and service to the end consumer, which is fantastic and all I can ask for from my staff”.

Nova Broadband also worked a lot with local communities and charities this year. In October they eliminated the Digital Divide in the Killavullen community by solving a years long problem of poor broadband in the area. They also worked with Focus Ireland, the charity working to end homelessness, as Ann-Marie Fleming, General Manager of Nova Broadband took part in the ‘Shine a Light’ campaign which saw her brave the elements and ‘sleep out’ to help raise awareness and much needed funds for homelessness throughout Ireland. The campaign raised over three thousand euro for the charity.

The success of Nova Broadband looks set to continue in the year ahead as 2015 is already looking like their busiest yet. In preparation for this they have made major improvements in their order procedure and have further expansion plans throughout the country already almost at the launch stage.
