Lisboa Boutique Launch Autumn Winter Collection

The most anticipated Fashion Season arrives at Lisboa Boutique, Cork, with the New autumn/ winter Collection 09 bringing a welcome change from the frivolity of a summer wardrobe in a country that sees more rain than sun.  At Lisboa Boutique the new collection encompasses a range of designers including By Malene Birger, Aideen Bodkin, Hoss, Tara Jarmon, Gabby Harris, Gerard Darel, Leona Edminston and Nathalie Chaize.  Shoes by Spanish label Unisa are also available as well as accessories from UK jewellery brand Tutti and Co and pearls from Shira which can be worn day to night.

A variety of looks from both formal to casual are available at this fashion mecca which recently moved to Oliver Plunkett St. The theme for autumn is very all about sharp tailoring and utilising basics. It is very much about being understated and chic. Clothes are structured and layered. Fabrics are contrasting with different textures such as velvet wool and lace and patterns to create very individual looks. Classic blouses with soft frills are themed with cashmere cardigans and fitted trousers or skirts.  Day dresses in jersey are finished with chunky jewellery and beautiful coats.  Evening wear is structured and detailed. Colours vary from dark greys and purples to jewel colours and of course black. The look is about being comfortable and cosy yet stylish and sophisticated. It is about getting the "second look" and standing out from the crowd.

It is owner Marie Harty's favourite fashion season "The chanel look is huge this season and many of the pieces we have, particularly from By Malene Birger have been inspired by this era. This influence can also be seen in a cream and black cardigan by Gerard Darel.  For Autumn I will be buying a hot pink malene birger top to team with my black basics, a winter mac by Hoss and a red wax jacket by Barbour"
